 Profile

Wild Bird Society of Shinshu published the first bulletin " Habataki " (mean wingbeat in Japanese) on December, 1983 and held the first Bird Watching walk on January 1984.
We have held a lot of bird watching walk in Shinshu, alias Nagano prefecture.
We have various attractive and talented members including researchers of wild bird, unworldly person in the Shirakaba Pass, professionals of insect or plant, experts of mountain climbing and ex-caretaker at a zoo. Of course there are many members who just love wild birds, their pretty appearance and beautiful voice, and enjoy the Bird Watching around a home or a park.

 Our aim

Our Wild Bird Society of Shinshu aims to realize a rich natural environment as well as enjoying bird watch. We consider how we live in harmony with nature by the observation and research of a wild bird. We will disperse a proper aspect for nature and make a proposal to society. We also enlighten each other and deepen our friendship.
